JUSTIN RANDELL

Sheffield
based audio artist, Justin Randell has been
producing music and sound tracks for films, art installations, and his
own personal work. His music is an amalgamation of melodic undertones,
quirky rhythms, and a copious dose of digital signal processing. Layer upon layer of sound, relentlessly morphing into perpetual variations. “With the aid of electronic computers, the composer becomes a sort of pilot: pressing buttons, introducing coordinates, and supervising the controls of a cosmic vessel sailing in the space of sound, across sonic constellations and galaxies that could formerly be glimpsed only in a distant dream.” (Iannis Xenakis 1971) |
